Paris Episcopal Day School Curriculum

Language arts:  teaching of Saxon phonics on all levels, recognition of alphabet, recognition of letters and sounds, use of letters to form words and sentences

Reading:  formation of words using letters and sounds, formation of sentences and reading books and instructions

Math:  learn to recognize and use mathematical symbols to make patterns, count, add and subtract

Science:  study of seasons, animals, etc, that correspond to letters, etc. studied as well as “seize the moment” studies such as archaeology, geology and dendrology

Foreign Language:  all ages of students learning basic Spanish and sign language

Social Skills:  working together and individually, listening, speaking, sharing, respecting authority, respecting others and their property, paying attention, responsibility, consequences of words and actions

EDS conducts structured class following a schedule daily and a progressive course of study and format in Language arts, reading and math skills.  The successful completion of these studies is reported to parents by progress reports, report cards and parent conferences.  The children can then enter the next level of our school or public school at the pre-k, kindergarten or first grade level successfully.

Tuition and Fees

School hours are 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Children need to arrive by 8:30 in order to take advantage of educational opportunities without interrupting classes already in session. Classes begin between 8:15 and 8:30.

Supply Fee: $20 per semester (payable September and January)
Supply fee for Summer semester will be "as needed" according to special events.

Re-enrollment Fee: $100, if a child is not in paid attendance for four weeks or more.

Full time regular enrollees may drop up to 3 days per week during the summer. If attendance is lower than 3 days per week, a full time position is not guaranteed for the fall.

Please remember that if your child is withdrawn from attending any portion of the month that the tuition must be paid for the whole month and a reason for withdrawal must be given in writing.
